Instrument Overview

 

Description of the features highlighted in the pictures

  1. Status LEDs: Give information about the status of the instrument;
  2. Access Port: Insert the cartridge here. Always push the cartridge up to the end of the port;
  3. Instrument Base: Part of the instrument which has to be place on a flat surface;
  4. Top Vent Holes: Allow air exchange between the inside of the instrument and the environment;
  5. Power-on/Power-off Button: Press shortly to turn-on the instrument from Stand-By. At the end of use, long press the button for 5 seconds to safely power down the HYRIS bCUBETM;
  6. Ethernet Plug: Insert here the Ethernet cable for Windows PC / Network communication;
  7. Power Supply Plug: Insert here the 12 VDC adapter jack;
  8. Thermal Block: Controls precisely the temperature of the cartridge and contained samples. The Heating/Cooling process is obtained with a Peltier element;
  9. Access Port: See point 2;
  10. Access Port Slider: Open to insert/remove the cartridge inside the HYRIS bCUBETM To be kept closed during operations;
  11. Detection Block: Features high brightness LEDs with dichroic filters for fluorophores excitation. Detection is obtained thanks to a CMOS sensor with dichroic filters matched to fluorophores emission wavelengths.
